Antonio P. Nappo(Tony) is a native of Atlanta, GA. He grew up influenced by the musical and acting talents of his grandmother, his mother and his father's large musical Italian family. Tony holds a B.A in Theatre from the College of Charleston '08, where his undergraduate program allowed him opportunities to learn both performance and stagecraft. He worked for four years in the Theatre Dept. Scene Shop honing his skills in stage carpentry, electrics, and scenic painting.
By senior year he had served as Assistant Technical Director, Assistant Set Designer, Master Electrician, and Light Designer, as well as being an Irene Ryan Award Candidate, and a Barbizon Award Nominee in Light Design. After graduation, a three month stint with Orchestra Services at the Sante Fe Opera increased his technical knowledge. While in Sante Fe, Tony accepted an offer from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama(now the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland)'s Master's program. He spent the next year in Glasgow earning his M.A. in Classical and Contemporary Text, including a month long intensive at the Globe in London. Credits here included King Lear(Gloucester), Macbeth(Macbeth), and playing Mark in Linda Mclean's new work Reminded of Beauty. Returning to Charleston, Tony performed throughout the year with the Footlight Players and was the ATD at the Sotille Theater downtown. He also freelance Light Designed for the Shakespeare Project and Crescent Stage, as well as performing with the Shakespeare Project. He then met a girl at a wedding and followed her to Nashville, TN. They got married on Jan 4th, 2014. Since moving to Nashville Tony has continued to act and design, both performing in state with companies such as Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Nashville Children's Theater, Nashville Rep, The Keeton Theater, and the Boiler Room Theater, and out of state with McLeod Summer Playhouse(Carbondale, IL) and Seaside Repertory Theatre(Seaside, FL). When not doing theater Tony works as a Project Coordinator for Crew One Productions , a local crew gig, where he works at venues like Bridgestone Arena, Municipal Auditorium, Soundcheck, and the Woods at Fontanel.
